Protecting Young
Minds From
Microplastics

The Grain Project is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and educating adolescents on the critical link between microplastics and environmental health.

The Founder's Journey

The Grain Project was born from Nathan Raphy's realization that environmental health education often overlooks the very demographic most affected by its future: adolescents. Based in Wilton, Connecticut, Nathan transformed his curiosity about microplastics into a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and providing actionable risk assessment tools for students worldwide. His work bridges the gap between scientific complexity and adolescent behavior, empowering the next generation to take control of their environmental health.
